Buell, Missouri

Buell is an unincorporated community in northern Montgomery County, Missouri, United States. It is located about five miles northeast of Montgomery City on Route 161. Its post office has closed and its mail now comes from Montgomery City. The community was founded in 1903 and is named after Buell Hensley, a businessman. It is widely known throughout the surrounding areas as the town with the green house. This is due to the fact that there is a house painted a bright shade of green with a gas tank painted like a watermellon.
